Adam Peters shares “Topanga, Pt. 1,” the latest excerpt from his forthcoming album Topanga, out May 13 via State Of Mind. The new piece expands the cello and string-led language introduced on earlier track “Topless,” unfolding as a slow-moving study in restraint and negative space. Built around long-form phrasing and understated harmonic drift, the composition gradually introduces piano midway, subtly reorienting its spatial balance without breaking its continuity.
Peters, whose work spans collaborations with Echo & The Bunnymen, Mercury Rev, and major film scores including Snowden and Icarus, turns here toward a more interior, reduced palette.
