Brooklyn band Wilder Maker ’s principal songwriter, Gabriel Birnbaum says that the group’s latest full-length, The Streets Like Beds Still Warm follows “an overall formal asymmetry, like dream logic.”

The first single to come from the new album is the atmospheric “Strange Meetings With Owls“. Speaking about the track, Birnbaum explains, “Enough losers, what does it feel like to be a winner? To obliterate the defeated by moving your attention onward, leaving them in the dark? This song is totally transformed from the original studio improvisation – sampled and processed drum machine, percussion, vocals, a chord progression composed over the top, a field recording from a concert.” Listen below.
