Nico Leibman turns five years of half-finished thoughts, late-night drives and emotional evasions into her first Harmony Index album called Lights On, a record built around the friction between dreamy pop hooks and rougher electronic textures.

According to the press release, moving like a DJ set, it slips from piano-led trip-hop and lounge into dream pop, 2-step and breakbeat house, drawing on the soulful futurism of Janet Jackson, Everything but the Girl and Prefab Sprout without getting trapped in retro worship.
