London-based Nigerian composer and sound artist Ibukun Sunday returns with Olúsín [Worshippers], a new album arriving August 28 via Phantom Limb. The record weaves West African rhythmic traditions into expansive ambient compositions, where percussion, choral textures, and near-silent spaces become acts of devotion.
He lets it emerge through patient repetition and immersive sound design, crafting a deeply meditative work that expands the possibilities of Afro-ambient music with quiet, transcendent power.
“Edge” is the new excerpt. Listen below.
