Benoit Pioulard’s acclaimed Stanza series, initially a daily sonic journal born from a dreary Seattle winter in 2015, evolves significantly with the release of Stanza IV, out today. What began as gauzy, lo-fi tape loops on a Telecaster has blossomed into some of Pioulard’s most deeply layered and striking instrumental works.

Following personal struggles and the completion of his dream-folk opus Eidetic, Pioulard refocused his craft on meditation, leading to Stanza IV‘s long-form movements. This volume marks a milestone as the first in the series to grace vinyl, pressed in a limited run of 300 copies on his Disques d’Honoré label. Complementing the main release, an album of diverse reworks from artists like Markus Guentner and Clarice Jensen is available on a highly limited cassette, featuring unique, hand-painted packaging and exclusive memorabilia.
