Live Home Sessions is a new format that we launched with the collaboration of South Italy venue MAT Laboratorio Urbano. We asked the artists we love the most to record a live session from their homes. After Akira Kosemura, Cabeki and Awir Leon, the new guest is Paris-based singer-songwriter and musician Mariama.
Born in Sierra Leone and raised in Germany, she released her second full-length in 2019. Love, Sweat and Tears, out via Membran, features 14 tracks which show her warm and embracing vocals and a modern idea of the melody and songwriting: the sound of this new full-length is a mix of r’n’b and soul lines, powerful electronic textures, folk shades, intense spoken-word and world music connections.
