4Visions is a project curated by Collettivo Zebu with the artistic direction of Italian musician and composer Corrado Nuccini (Giardini di Mirò, Ferrara Sotto Le Stelle, Silent Festival). The focus is on the enhancement of Apulian family cinema through the multidisciplinarity of the arts (sound experimetation, illustration and discovery of Apulian places and traditions).
The center of the production process has been the sonorization of 4 home silent short movies from various areas of the Apulian territory, selected and digitized by Home Movies – National Archive of Family Films. The project involves 5 different musicians and producers: Corrado Nuccini, Indian Wells, Matilde Davoli, Makai and Nother.
The goal is to build innovative contaminations around them with new sound languages and other artistic expressions, sensitizing a wider target to the profound cultural value of the places and the immense possibilities of valorisation and dissemination that they preserve, offering an alternative perspective. The animated illustrations by the artist Mariateresa Quercia revive the salient elements of the videos.
