Aimée Portioli is a Berlin-based Dutch-Italian composer and sound designer who records and performs as Grand River. She has released with Editions Mego, Ghostly International, Tresor, Longform Editions and more. In addition to her studio albums, Portioli also creates original sound art installations and sometimes works with 4D spatial sound.

Known for her emotionally rich electronic music and minimalist influences, Portioli now expands into the art world with this immersive ecological work featuring the calls of seven endangered bird species woven into a 28-minute composition of field recordings, spatial sound, and melody. A sculptural element by Federico Gargaglione and an illustrated booklet with drawings by Brandon Locher accompany the piece, and invite deep listening and a powerful sensory experience. The opera exhibition is taking place at Museum Folkwang (Essen, Germany), from August 15th to September 28, more info on their official site.
