Gordon Chapman-Fox returns as Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan with Industrial Growth, his seventh album and a sharp break from the ambient approach of his earlier records. Built around distortion, dissonance and a much heavier electronic palette, the record channels the unease of contemporary Britain into something abrasive and increasingly claustrophobic.

According to the press release, Much of the album grew out of a suite commissioned for Roadburn Festival in 2024, later reshaped through further writing and live performances across the UK. The title points less toward economic expansion than a darker kind of organic spread, with Chapman-Fox imagining social decay as something that slowly takes hold from within.

Industrial Growth arrives October 30. “This Machine” is the first excerpt.
