Benny Sings brings the camera back home on 22 Durnham Dew, an 11-track set where pop, soul, jazz and R&B become the soundtrack to ordinary life. It is out now via Stone throw. Made largely in his own studio, the record trades the polish of the outside world for stories about love, parenthood, renovation dust and the strange business of becoming a grown-up. Baby Rose, Tune-Yards, Ana Tijoux and Elijah Fox drop in along the way, while Benny’s wife and children appear on vocals, pushing the intimacy even further.
