Eternal Life No End is the first fully released duo album from Radwan Ghazi Moumneh and Frédéric D. Oberland, long-time collaborators now formalizing their shared language. Moumneh — the Beirut-born, Tiohtiá:ke/Montréal-based force behind Jerusalem In My Heart and producer for Matana Roberts and BIG | BRAVE — meets Oberland, co-founder of Oiseaux-Tempête and tireless explorer of avant-rock and electro-acoustic form.
According to the press release, Evolving from intimate performances at Montréal’s Hotel2Tango, the record braids buzuk, rababa, and Arabic vocal traditions with Buchla synths, clarineau, saxophone, and hybrid percussion. Across seven tracks, electronics and acoustic timbres interlock in a sound both luminous and unsettled, mapping diasporic memory and political consciousness onto a fractured yet deliberate compositional frame.
