Modeselektor announce MDSLKTR, their first new studio album in three years and another trip through the Berlin duo’s beautifully unruly take on electronic music. “AORTA,” the first single, runs on the same instinct that has powered Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary for nearly three decades: smash techno, electro, bass, hip-hop and rave together until the borders stop mattering.
According to the press release, the twelve-track record brings in Siriusmo, Miss Platnum, Tommy Cash, Lars Eidinger, Gudrun Gut and Kabeaushé, adding fresh voices to their restless machine music. There’s a sense of looking back here, but never with nostalgia—the duo are digging through their own history to strip it down and rebuild it from scratch. MDSLKTR lands January 22, 2027 via Monkeytown Records.
