J.Bernardt, the solo project of Balthazar’s Jinte Deprez, will return with his third album, Wild Swim, due November 13 via Play It Again Sam. The announcement arrives with “Love Is on My Mind,” a buoyant, guitar-led track about unexpectedly finding your way back to love.
According to the press release, recorded in Los Angeles with producer Paul Butler, the album finds Deprez stepping away from his usual methods and embracing a looser, more instinctive approach. Live performances and expansive arrangements push his familiar sound toward soulful, retro-leaning territory, while the songs trade autobiography for a more open-ended meditation on desire, chance and starting over.
