Bonobo has shared “Talk to Me,” a new collaboration with Nicole Miglis, ahead of his forthcoming album Distance in Static. Due September 11 via Ninja Tune, the record brings together guests including Arooj Aftab, Nilüfer Yanya, Ichiko Aoba and Aanya Martin. The track began as a vocal idea captured backstage during Bonobo’s Fragments tour before being developed across hotel rooms and the tour bus.
Distance in Static finds Simon Green pushing his electronic sound further toward the dancefloor, while retaining his detailed, atmospheric approach to production. The album was recorded across several cities, including London, Tokyo and Los Angeles, with additional sessions at Neil Young’s Broken Arrow Ranch.
