Chicago’s Axis: Sova have shared “Blow Up,” the lead single from their forthcoming album Flowerage, out on October 23 via Ty Segall’s GOD? Records. Recorded at Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio with Bitchin Bajas’ Cooper Crain, the track distills the band’s post-punk instincts into a tense, stripped-down garage-rock charge. Built around a staccato vocal refrain and sharply treated guitars, “Blow Up” moves with deliberate restraint before breaking into a disorienting, solemn coda.
