Dionisaf returns with Mississippian, a warm and quietly immersive album out today v via Whitelabrecs. Drawing on the seven years he spent living in Mississippi, the composer turns memory, landscape and departure into an intimate ambient work centred on a restored flea-market guitar. Field recordings, kalimba, subtle electronics and acoustic textures expand its folk-like melodies into spacious, meditative soundscapes, while guest flautist Liesbet Leroy adds another human voice to the album’s reflective atmosphere.
