Australian composer and sound artist Matt Rösner will release Lost Meridians on October 16. According to the press release, built from recordings made with minimal equipment, the album stretches fragments of acoustic sound into dense, unstable layers where bright frequencies and deep drones seem to occupy the same space.
Rösner’s music draws heavily on the landscapes of Western Australia, translating its vastness, isolation, and shifting natural textures into an abstract sonic language. Across ten pieces, organic materials are distorted and reassembled until their original forms become barely recognizable.
