Button Masher has announced Super Button Masher, his new album for Brainfeeder, arriving September 4, and shared “Tallinn Massage Chair” with Sungazer. Led by Jake Silverman, the project collides intricate jazz-fusion arrangements with the synthetic palette of 8-bit and 16-bit video game music. The new track moves through elastic basslines, hyperactive drums and arcade-like synths, balancing virtuosic musicianship with a playful sense of motion. According to the press release, across the album, Silverman turns childhood gaming nostalgia into a sophisticated study of rhythm, harmony and electronic texture.
