The Bug has returned with Ladybug 2, the second chapter in his ongoing collaborative series, this time alongside Japanese singer-songwriter Friday Night Plans. Across six versions of the title track “Miss U,” Kevin Richard Martin surrounds Masumi’s hushed vocals with cavernous bass, fractured dub textures and slow-moving psychedelia. The result is a deeply atmospheric collision of fragile songwriting and sub-heavy production, available exclusively on Bandcamp before its wider digital release later this month.
