Italian indie veterans Yuppie Flu have released “Be Free Now“, the first single taken from their forthcoming album Kings Without a Crown, due out on September 17 via 42 Records.
The track marks a new chapter for the band, whose unmistakable blend of indie rock, lo-fi textures and melodic songwriting has made them one of the most respected names in the Italian alternative scene since the mid-1990s. While remaining faithful to their identity, Be “Free Now“ carries a renewed sense of openness, pairing bright guitar work with the understated elegance that has long defined the group’s sound.
The release also carries a strong emotional weight, arriving a few months after the passing of founding member Matteo Agostinelli.
