French producer and Boukan Records founder Bamao Yendé has released Apothicaire Corazon, a 14-track album out now that further cements his role as one of the most adventurous figures in contemporary club music. Featuring collaborations with Helen Island, Lala &ce, Crystal Murray, MC ZKW, Fae Sapienta, Thee Diane and others, the record dissolves the boundaries between rap, experimental electronics, deconstructed club and leftfield pop. Building on the restless energy of 2023’s Polizia Romantico, Yendé pushes his hybrid aesthetic toward richer, vocal-driven territory, combining sound system bass, mutant house, Latin percussion, UK dance influences and traces of early-2000s R&B into a cohesive new language.
