“williams landing”, the street of Mok’s childhood home, contains fragments of synth and bell-like melodies that stir feelings of wistfulness and nostalgia.
“I’ve always been enamored by the way photo negatives gradually appear when they’re being developed. Memories can feel both elusive and fuzzy in the way they sit in my body, but sometimes with a bit of attention and time, details come into focus, and a once-vague memory can suddenly become clear, like a photo negative. I hope that this track can be a space where listeners can resonate with the experience of remembering, no matter how fleeting or fragmentary a memory might be,” – said the artist. Listen below.
