Function returns to Tresor Records with Aeternum (Existenz), a six-track mini LP out now that closes a multi-year creative cycle shaped by burnout, introspection, and sustained studio experimentation. According to the press release, recorded between 2016 and 2019, the release extends the conceptual arc of Existenz and subsequent related works, reframing techno as a process of psychological transformation through repetition, atmosphere, and gradual sonic evolution.
Dedicated to the late Silent Servant, Aeternum (Existenz) moves between deep ambient abstraction, electro-inflected experimentation, and stripped-back techno functionality, reaffirming Function’s position within the lineage of contemporary experimental techno.
