Berlin/Lisbon-based singer-songwriter ANIQO returns with “THE TURN,” a new single produced by Bill Ryder-Jones and released via La Double Vie. Blending dark art pop, spiritual folk, and cinematic songwriting, the track reflects on the moment when inner change becomes impossible to ignore, pairing luminous guitar work with sweeping string arrangements. It is accompanied by a self-directed video filmed aboard a sailboat off the Portuguese coast,
On the track ANIQO said “I’ve often had moments in my life where I thought: I can’t go on like this – something needs to change. So for me, ‘THE TURN’ is about the moment after realisation, when something inside you shifts and you know that the next step has to be taken – even if it feels risky at first. It’s about setting out, overcoming fear, but also about consciously saying yes to what you love. It’s about taking the plunge and believing that something will open up once you start moving and let go.”
