Benny Sings has announced his new album, 22 Durnham Dew, arriving September 25 via Stones Throw, alongside the release of its lead single, “Parachute.”
According to the press release, the buoyant disco-pop track masks one of the songwriter’s most intimate stories, reflecting on his mother’s depression during his childhood, and marks the first time he has recorded in his native Dutch as well as English. Shaped by recent years spent embracing family life, the album turns away from past romanticism to focus on parenthood, domestic routines, and the uncertainties of adulthood.
