Australian composer and multi-instrumentalist Hana Stretton has announced tiarn, a new album that expands her singular vision of ambient folk into something both cinematic and deeply ecological. Written in isolation on the Pacific coast and inspired by twilight ocean swims, the record drifts between chamber arrangements, field-like textures, and experimental song forms, from miniature electronic operas to imagined dance rituals.

According to the press release, following the cult acclaim of 2023’s Soon, the new material explores grief, community, and humanity’s increasingly fragile relationship with the natural world. “Stove” is the new excerpt.
