Paris-based, Algeria-born artist Mohamed Bourouissa has unveiled “AB,” the first glimpse of LILA, his debut album for PAN and a striking pivot from the gallery space to experimental music. Best known for his acclaimed photography and installations, Bourouissa describes the record as a “musical object,” with each piece dedicated to someone who has left an imprint on his life.

Built from drifting synths, fractured rhythms, and intimate vocal performances, LILA also features contributions from Le Diouck and Mushy/Phantom Love’s Valentina Fanigliulo. The single arrives alongside the opening of Bourouissa’s new exhibition, Pour Noubia, in Zurich.
