New York psych-rock outfit Prison have unveiled “Sunrise Highway,” a condensed version of the sprawling track that occupies the entire first side of their forthcoming album Big Rigs On The BQE, due July 31. Fueled by driving rhythms, fuzzed-out guitars, organ drones, and relentless momentum, the track captures the band’s raw, improvisational approach to rock and roll.
According to the press release, recorded largely live with minimal studio intervention, it channels the motorik energy of the Velvet Underground, the Stooges, and Endless Boogie into a headlong psychedelic rush.
