Emma Ruth Rundle has announced a new album, These Killing Times, arriving September 18 via her own Errant Child imprint. The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has also shared the lead single, “Powerless.”
According to the press release, Serving as Rundle’s sixth studio album, These Killing Times channels themes of resistance, vulnerability, and feminist anger through a more expansive full-band sound. While retaining the emotional intimacy of 2021’s Engine of Hell, the new record embraces brighter arrangements and a greater sense of urgency.
The album features contributions from Jess Gowrie, Marissa Nadler, Patrick Shiroishi, Nick Reinhart, Gina Gleason, Lukas Frank, Troy Zeigler, and Amelia Baker.
