Japanese visionary Cornelius has announced REFRACTIONS, his new album due August 19 via Eat Your Own Ears Recordings. The first preview arrives with “Aeons,” a collaboration with Sean Ono Lennon, whose vocals and lyrics bring a new dimension to Cornelius’ meticulously detailed sound design.
Marking a more outward-looking phase in Keigo Oyamada’s career, REFRACTIONS places collaboration at the center of a body of work that continues to blur the boundaries between experimental pop, electronics, and contemporary composition. Alongside the announcement, Cornelius has also confirmed a Japanese tour and a headline performance at Barbican Centre.
