Los Angeles based musician Cole Berliner releases The Black Door, his debut solo album co-produced with Cesar Maria. The recording expands into ensemble arrangements, adding strings, horns, and low-level electronics to the core guitar structure. Across the album, compositions draw from American folk and blues forms, reworked through layered instrumentation and slow progression. It features violinist Laena Myers, acoustic bassist Garret Lang, and drummer Dylan Hadley, plus Sofia Arreguin, Robert Earl Thomas, Michael Sachs, Sarah Safaie, Kilan Thorns and Cesar Hernandez.
