German composer and producer Linus Alberg returns with UON, his sophomore album, due after three years of development and drawn from more than 100 recorded takes across a highly prolific period. Framed as a collection of ten selected works, the album reflects shifting environments and recording contexts, with each piece functioning as a self-contained “time capsule” that preserves the conditions of its creation.

It moves between intimate upright piano sketches and more expansive arrangements that introduce harmonium, analogue synthesis and cinematic production layers. He explains:

“These pieces were all recorded and produced under changing circumstances, with different setups, spaces and life situations. For me, each one has become a kind of door or time capsule that takes me back to the time, place or moment when it was created. Even though they were produced independently of each other, I like that together they form a new shared story with their own connections.”
