Romare announces Oblivion, a fifth studio album (out on September 26th) that turns inward, tracing the psychic fallout of digital life through downtempo electronics, fractured nostalgia, and nocturnal groove. Its lead single “Computer Love” sinks into murky trip-hop rhythms and analogue synth fog, weaving samples from archival computer documentaries into a melancholic meditation on intimacy mediated by machines.
Long celebrated for transforming crate-digging collage into deeply human dance music, Romare now sounds more emotionally exposed, confronting technological alienation with a slow-burning sense of dread and longing.
