Baltimore artists M.C. Schmidt (of Matmos) and John Berndt unite as a duo on Cloud Machines, their first full-length collaboration, out June 12. Berndt, known for projects like High Zero Festival and systems such as Spectral Relay, meets Schmidt’s studio-based composition in a process shaped over more than a decade. The album draws from visual and sonic references tied to Jean Giraud and Cluster’s work with Brian Eno and Conny Plank, translating them into modular structures and shifting tones.

“The Sound of Glink” is the new excerpt. Listen below.
