Dutch duo Polynation return with Flora, a new EP which features trumpet player Romain Gachot on title-track and arriving ahead of an extensive European tour through June. Stijn Hosman and Hessel Stuut continue to refine their hybrid methodology, dissolving the boundary between sequenced synthesis and live percussion within a loosely quantized rhythmic grid.
The EP extends Polynation’s ongoing exploration of porous form, where jazz inflection and broken-beat architecture are absorbed into a continuously morphing sonic system.
