Speedy J, alias Jochem Paap, returns with Walkman, his first solo album in over two decades. Structured as a 90-minute, 20-track sequence, the record assembles material from 2025 studio sessions into a continuous, tape-length flow. Across the album, sound design shifts without fixed pattern, linking techno structures, ambient zones, and short-form sketches into a single listening arc.

Working from his STOOR environment, Paap builds tracks through live jams, extracting segments and shaping them into a mixtape-like progression. “Modern Birds” is the new excerpt.
